Rainbow by Alexis Demailly is Collaboration with the Paris Brassband and the strings orchestra from l’Orchestre National D’Ile de France. A beautiful range of colours is demonstrated in collaboration with the Paris Brass Band and strings from l’Orchestre National d’ile de France, while the varied repertoire allows Alexis to demonstrate great artistry and technique. Highlights for me are the famous Hora Staccato (which he makes sound deceptively easy) and his beautiful, lyrical cornet sound in the Glazounov. A wonderful player and a wonderful CD.
